Extreme CPU usage - 200% and hangs, crashes

I can't be the only one that noticed an extreme change in Ableton in the last 3 weeks. Everything was fine and now I have to freeze half my sessions, or change to 2048 samples to work on projects. I have an M1 Macbook Pro. Specs are over kill and using Ableton is like pulling a Pitfall cartridge out of the atari, blowing in it, and putting it back in. I have updated all plugins but it honestly "feels" like almost all plugins are over stimulated. Waves, Antares, Native... everything. After plugins, I thought it might be an Apollo issue, but I have upgraded everything over there also. Anyone else with these issues?
