Downgrade to 11.3.4

Post by Dee Kuul » Wed Aug 23, 2023 8:48 am

Hi all!

Yesterday, I updated to 11.3.10. I didn't think it would cause any issues as it wasn't a major update (like 11.4. or anything like that). However, this morning I got an email from the suppliers of M4L devices that I use in every project to say that some of their devices have issues with 11.3.10 and it is recommended to skip the latest update. Obviously that's not an option for me now, so does anyone know how I can download 11.3.4 Suite and install it alongside 11.3.10?

Thanks!

The workaround would be to download the Max 8.5.4 version and set Live to use it instead of the bundled one.

Just out of curiosity, does the MAX 8.5.5 update affect other M4L devices ?

It's possible indeed.
I didn't experience any M4L issue atm, though.
I'd be curious to know more about the devices mentioned by the OP.

It seems the M4L dev 36db advised its customers not to update to 11.3.10 because there was some issues with its devices while running the last Live update (or, better said, the last M4L update that comes with 11.2.10).
There was a post in the "Ableton live users" Facebook group about that.
