Something is wrong here, it's all about copy paste and track selections..

It's that sometimes in live 11 trial, the part to select the midi and entire clip above the automation, is missing. Its not there and it doesn't work. That's it. I have a picture of it but I can't figure out how to attach photos yet. I assume, if I restart it will come back,just saying, oh. I'll of a sudden I have no option to select the entire selection of a track , it gets stuck in automation only mode. I'll try a restart, is usually the fact here. Just saying, so we now know. Thanks.

Press ‘a’ to get out of automation mode.

I guess that works too,, thank you,, but It's that before, while in automation mode ,there was a space above the clips where I could select portions of clips and their automation, and then move or copy that selection, but now that space is missing, and I can only select and copy or duplicate the automation but not with the midi clip selection, unless I would spilt and considoldate the clip(s) and click on header. But thats OK, turn off automation mode works too,
though sometimes it's handy to see the automation that I'm copying at the same time..

I finally just figured it out..i am new to live 11, and what it was, is that there were closed, empty tracks above where I was working, thus allowing me to copy and paste entire clip selections from above , while in automation mode.. which is nice to know about just in case i do want to see the automation as i copy selections, but i am used to turning the automation mode off and on by now, so its all the same and better. Sorry about my misunderstanding and thank you for the assistance.
