I ordered the push 3 controller to make music on the couch away from the pc and also to use all my vst plugins. I was hoping to use the interface with headphones.
However, the push 3 does not even work with a 5m long usb-c cable.
The Push 2 worked with a 6m USB cable, but does not have a headphone jack and interface.
Does anyone have an idea with which cable I can get the Push 3 controller variant operated at 5 meters?
The standalone version is out of the question for me. too expensive, too heavy, too short battery life.
Thank you.
should I send the push 3 back? longer cable for push doesnt work. :(

From what I understand this isn't a P3 problem, but a limitation of USB-C cables (3 meters being the limit after which things can start to be wonky).phil-ip beats wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 2:26 pmHowever, the push 3 does not even work with a 5m long usb-c cable.
Your unit works correctly with the stock cable, right? Or is there a problem with this one too?

As already mentioned, USB-C with USB 3 or higher is specced for max 3m. Everything over it might work, but is unreliable and might/will fail. The only exception is, if you use it just for power, than it can be longer. older USB Standards were able to use longer cables, but were not capable to transfer the same power and the same amount of data per time (aka speed).
Beeing able to use longer cables on the Push 2 might come from that: older usb standard and less data beeing transferred.
