Audio interface in Standalone mode?

Post by Just_Pierre » Mon Sep 04, 2023 7:11 pm

Is the audio interface only usable when connected the Push 3 Standalone in controller mode and with running Ableton Live?

I would like to run the audio interface without starting Ableton Live on my PC and in Standalone mode, so I can hear the sounds from Windows.

Correct, it only works in Controller mode. Standalone mode is for, well... standalone without a computer.

Of course, I understand. But it would be nice to save resources on my PC if I only need sound for Youtube/Netflix. No need to run Ableton Live and going in Control Mode.

The USB-C is connected, so why not giving the choice.

Just run it in controller mode but without Live running if you want to do that, the audio interface still works.

Standalone mode wont work because the computer inside the Push needs to use the audio interface as its own audio interface.

Thanks, great advice! Didn't know this was possible. Works perfect, very happy with it.
