Audio disabled everytime starts

Post by jabertolin » Tue Jun 16, 2020 7:01 am

Hi

I am experiencing an issue with the current version (10.1.14): every time I close the program and start it up, the audio has been disabled and I have to reassign the audio devices (In/out) in order to be able to use it. It works fine during the operation but once you shut it down, it seems that it loses the configuration of audio device.

I am using Macos, 10.15.5, Macbook pro 2016.

Any comment/help will be much appreciated

Juan

Make sure the audio interface you want to use is connected and switched on before starting Live. Otherwise Live will default to whatever the operating system tells it is present when Live is started.
Live 10 Suite, 2020 27" iMac, 3.6 GHz i9, MacOS Catalina, RME UFX, assorted synths, guitars and stuff.

Thank you very much for your reply. The Audio Card (Focusrite Scarlet 3) is connected before.

Reported this issue to Ableton support and they suggested I reset live as well as live's database. That didn't work so the next thing to try was to set things up on a different user account, which I did, and it did work, but I'm not about to transfer everything to another account on my computer for something that will 100% happen again anyway as this has been happening to me for years - all it takes is for something to become unplugged while Ableton is open for this to happen. Asked if they had any other suggestions and all they could offer was the same steps including completely uninstalling and reinstalling. I would have appreciated them acknowledging that this is a known issue and that they are tracking it or something but whatever.
