push 3 controller version - power from mac usb-c?

anyone use the controller version and have it run with the dimmed lights through usb-c.
I have been in contact with a ticket since I received my push.

I do not believe at this point it can turn the push on at the dimmed level however....ableton tech has been great and they were concerned it may the unit and the usb-c port.
done all the tests to see if my macbook pro 23 m2 pro chip / thunderbolt x3 can power it (wireshark and system report)

**Their main concern was there was no power with the brick in the 1st 2 hours of having the device and then randomly on the 20th ish try it came and has been working great using the power adapter since. never a single light with just usb-c.**

the manual has the spec: Push 3 requires a minimum 15W (5V/3A) from USB ports] (only reports I see are 900ma pd)
I have tried with other charging methods, magsafe and usb-c, adapters etc.

Apple forums and ableton forums seem to have mixed results here.

I did the full live restart and of course the mac and have been doing tests with ableton who have been great.

Late In responding to this one, sorry, but I had no joy powering the controller version with my 2023 MBP M2 Pro

It seems as though my TB ports output c14.7 watts but still not sufficient. I returned the controller version and upgraded to a standalone instead as a result.

Works with dimmed lights via the usb-c cable on my m1 max 16". Haven't extensively tested it so not sure if there's any catches there. From other threads, it seems to be something about M2 models (including the mbp and minis). Could always look into a battery packs for those times you can't access wall power.
