How to use Master effects on sample preview

Post by ProducerKitten » Sun Oct 08, 2023 5:42 pm

Here’s my dilemma. I have a special preset on my Ableton master chain that makes my headphones to a flat frequency response. And I need to hear my samples through that flat setting. But when I preview my samples, it plays them without any of the effects on the master, and totally ruins my sound design for the rest of my track. If it’s not possible to use the master effects on my sample preview, what’s the fastest and easiest way to go through all my samples with the master effects on them?

This would be a great feature request.

Best I can think of is doing an audio loopback, but that only works if you have enough physical (or software for some interfaces) channels to allow you to make that routing.

Do you know any resources that you know of to start looking into this?

It might help to know your setup. Which audio interface, and which OS especially.

Also, to know if you are using all your audio inputs and outputs on your interface.
