Returns / Sends Go To Tracks On A Summing / Mixing Board?

Hey -

Just curious about how you do this.

I was summing in the computer before, which would export my master with all of my return & send tracks added.

Because I am now using a summing mixer, I am going into Ableton Live tracks 1-2 to monitor and record my mix.

Does this mean that, because my Master track is now bypassed and not being recorded, my return / send tracks need to be audio tracks going into the mixer? For example, should my return / send tracks go to channels 15-16?
