Is there a Audio Resampling Distortion Bug ?

Post by Erdbenutzer » Mon Oct 16, 2023 9:26 am

Hey there !

Something rather worrying occured to me while resampling which i dont really know how to act about it.

Specs and Situation -> Live 11 Suite, no interface Connected, monitoring via MacBook Speakers.

2-3 Tracks into a 1 Audio track where Resampling was chosen as input.

I recorded a few Resamplings under and about a minute. All fine.
Then some with 5-8 Minutes and 2x 30 min.

All of the longer ones were terribly distorted over the full length of the recording... super weird.
Warp Modes didnt change anything. No weird Fx on the Master. Nothing in groups all just plain resampling like i did it alot before. Never a problem.

The weid thing is that the monitored audio and the rec result sound so weirdly different. There was no harsh clipping while recording, not really in the reds. And all of that considered, the recording really shouldnt sound anything near what it does.

Im a little helpless here and hope i can find out why it happens and eliminate that for the futute. Cause that is rather demotivating. Lost a magic hour of very inspiring footage. Would be crazy if it would be recoverable but i dont really believe that to be possible.

What are your thoughts on all of that ?
