If I re-export a song that's already clipping, will it be clipped further?

I like to use Live to make DJ tools. Often times songs I use are mastered to clipping a good few db when everything is set to db. I obviously want to keep the edits I make as loud as possible, but want to put as little of my own audio effects on the song as possible to avoid altering its own mastered sound.

Kind of a simple question, but if I leave the track volume at 0db, and reexport the song while its in the red, will it be clipped further than its original state? Or will it be fine since that's the levels of the original file? thanks for the help.

If you see red on the master meters, then yes you’re clipping again and likely adding more clipping to the audio files permanently. If you’re warping the files in Live, try turning off Complex and Complex Pro warp algorithms, they can cause signal peaks to clip even when you’re not actually stretching the files.
