hello. sorry if this has been asked before, searched and couldn't find an answer.
when i'm recording a track that has an effect on it, if i want to wiggle the parameters as i go, the recording track stops the clip it's recording into if i move focus to the track with the effect on it.
ex. -
Track 01 has a drum kit with an effect
Track 02 is Record armed, source is Track 01
hit record, Track 02 starts recording a clip of Track 01.
when i click on to Track 01 to move a knob on the effect, Track 02 stops recording.
i know how to record the parameter movement as MIDI into Track 01, but that's not what i want to do.
what am i doing wrong?

edit - just got it to work the way i wanted, but had to launch from the Push and use the Push to navigate to the VST effect i wanted to wiggle. i guess that works, but feels like i'm missing something. would sometimes be way more convenient to start recording and move to a VST with the mouse.
