Mastrovska installation woes

Hi,

I can' t install the Matrovska splitter, necessary to use video in Live on Win11. I tried to get help from Haali, and did not get any answer.

I'm not making any progress with my problem, and I hope someone here experienced and solved it before.

When I try to install Matrovska (win11), I get

Error opening file for writing

C: etc./Matrovska/cue2xlm.js

____________________________

Error opening file for writing

C: etc./Matrovska/mkv2vrf.exe

_____________________________

Both error messages two times.


Do you happen to know what I shoud try?

Did you try running the installer as Administrator?

Matroska hasn't been updated for ten years, development is dead so I doubt you will get any answer.
Ableton needs to improve drastically video support on Windows it's a shame Live can't even play a simple MP4 file properly.

What joke !
The only solution offered by Ableton and a software that has been abandoned for 10 years. I have been a live user since its beginnings on PC, and I am disgusted by Ableton's incompetence in the use of videos on Windows: only DIY...
unic Ableton advice : download Haali codec... the prehistory of codecs which have not been maintained for years.

Live is rubbish with video on window and no one can say otherwise. I am disgusted.
