I am so pleased that I no longer have to do my whole explanation about how much better an attribute filtering browser is.
I've not tried this one yet, but just looking at the images I can see that it will work right. This image showing that when the user is looking for a bass - the interface clearly shows the available attributes in the result list and allows the user to select an AND filter from the availables to filter the results. That will work. Trying to explain that to people who aren't familiar with this sort of filtration and attribute assignment was killing me!

Kind of sad to see this one put to bed, we’ll have to find something new to complain about!

Wait.
Do you think I have run out of complaints?
Let me tell you about a little thing called "Arrangements". Did you know that in other DAWs they allow users to make chunks out of sections of arrangement - so that we can "arrange" them. It allows users to create different versions to try arrangements and mixes out, or to have for instance a "radio edit". It's pretty tragic that Ableton Live which started as pretty much the first non-linear DAW has absolutely no arrangement tools. Just a big linear screen, like it's 1996 and we are working in Cubase VST ! I'd have imagined that Ableton would allow us to make sections into what I could call "MetaClips" - grouped clips which can be re-arranged, and even drop sections of arrangement into Session to be triggered.
viewtopic.php?p=113012&hilit=metaclips& ... 20#p113012
Let me just think how long I've been asking for that? Ummm, since 2005. That's 18 years !!!
So. Rest easy. There's plenty in the tank!

I was on the " Alpha" team a loooong long time ago . I think my main flaw for beta testing is that I'm too opinionated. I express my opinions too vociferously when there's pushback, or disinterest. That's not what a beta is for, it's not the "lets ask Steve what we should make and whether we got it to his satisfaction" team.

So I'm disruptive to the correct process.
Closed betas are for finding what breaks or is functioning unexpectedly when using a range of workflows and platforms. Ilm sure the closed beta team is doing great. I am not sure that the Beta needs the special powers of Captain Opinion! I do my work in the shadows, outside the system.

I'm guessing this was improved to make the standalone Push browsing experience better but a welcome improvement as it gets Ableton more inline with Maschine's browser (with some areas where they went beyond Maschine) which is a great one for browsing large libraries.

Hahah. yeah, right.
The funny thing is - ages ago I made a wireframe mockup of what I thought the Browser should look like. And that wireframe looks almost exactly like what was implemented, so it's exactly right for me and that surely means more complaining (!) I don't think I posted it here because I realised it not only looked so complicated I'd be spending months justifying the functions, but also because it was quite obvious I was clamped onto this topic like a dog with a bone. I think I sent it to Amaury though. Possibly the final straw for him!

edit ... mine was much shitter than the real thing

Me too!
Keep complaining Angstrom. Who knows, maybe in another 18 years you'll get your Arrangements feature request

Do someone know if the new browse by similarity also work for external samples? My question is, could I be able to quickly find my Maschine samples by similarity and not having to use it through Battery 4? I much prefer the drum rack
