Hi there
I'm trying to find a way to make the first choice in the 'Default Slicing Preset' list one of my own instead of the 'Built-in' one.
Why? I want to be able to 'Slice to New MIDI Track' without using a keyboard or mouse. At the moment, I can almost do this using Bome Midi Translator Pro and App Shortcuts on my Mac.
I have assigned ^⌥⌘C (Shift+Alt+Cmd+C) to Slice to New MIDI Track and using Bome Translator, I have programmed a Midi Note to the same key strokes including an extra carriage return to activate the OK button. This means that when I'm having a jam, I can record an audio loop into a clip and then quickly convert that to a new Midi Track. I can then play the different slices in the new Midi Track using my Launchpad.
As I mentioned before, it's almost there apart from the fact that the default Slicing Preset is always the 'Built-in' one. I want to be able to use my own Slicing Preset. Here's something strange - If I close Ableton down, re-open it and 'Slice to New Midi Track', it actually remembers the last Slicing Preset I used. It only does this once then reverts back to 'Built-in'.
Any help would be most appreciated. I hope I'm missing something glaringly obvious. I'm using Live Suite 11.3.13.
Thanks in advance
Andrew
