Will the Alesis MultiMix 12USB work with Ableton?

No reason why it shouldn't work. Though you might want to hold out for the FireWire versions of the MultiMix. They are probably already available in the U.S.

Yeah, get the FireWire. Guitar Center got them in last week finally.
The USB can only send two channels of audio to the computer, while the FireWire can send ALL channels. (8, 12, 16)

Plus, there will be less CPU usage with the FireWire, and they look cooler. :p
