About Live 12 upgrade Pricing

I have Live 11 Suite and see the upgrade price for 12 suite is more than the upgrade price for 12 Standard, which is also different to 12 intro.

The new Live 12 features are the same across the board for intro, standard and suite, with no unique new feature specific to standard or suite.

My question is why is the upgrade price different when there are no new features specific to the standard or Suite category of Live?

Could someone please explain this?
Are there new features specific to the Standard and Suite on the horizon?

If not, could someone please correct this?

Also, my guess is that if you upgrade to 12 Standard from 11 Suite... when you will open Live 12 you won't be able to use Sampler which is exclusive to suite even if you have it from 11 Suite... but you will probably be able to use it by opening your Live 11 app ... but this is juste what I'm thinking ...I haven't experienced it...

I think he would keep Sampler. But yeah, NEW Suite-specific devices is the big one. Along with just the extra content / downloadables.

I guess you could upgrade to 12 standard. And then if suite has something you finally want, upgrade to suite (or get that specific device).

Not sure the price comparisons on all the possible paths (especially after the sale is over)

Thanks. I hadn't seen the '+' for more on the features unique to 12 Suite upgrade.

All the same there should be more features to justify that extra £50 over the 12 standard upgrade.

I would love to see a way to 'isolate vocals', or other instruments, from an audio track.
you could use it on a 'frozen' audio track, to turn that track back into stems.

There are AI tools to do this, so this would make a good project to introduce A.i to Live.

You will get to keep every old Suite feature like Sampler, even if you upgrade to Standard from Suite. I have previously upgraded from Suite 8 to Standard 10 and I kept M4L, Sampler etc.

Your L8 is still a L8 Suite so you're keeping access to all the Suite content for your L8 license,
but your L10 Standard shouldn't provide access to Suite content.
Or something went wrong down the road and you've been lucky!

Perhaps the system got confused by such "upgrade". My account lists separate serial number to Sampler for example, but not for M4L.

No worries though, since Live 12 had something worth upgrading to Suite again, so I have sent some more money your way recently again.

You can purchase Sampler separately, but you cannot purchase M4L separately, that’s why you see that in your account.

I keep telling myself not to upgrade the Suite anymore since it is pricey if you us 3rd party instruments. But Max4Live makes it worth it.
