Presets in Rack ?

Post by Antigone » Tue Dec 19, 2023 11:41 pm

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to save "Instrument Rack" presets like Macro Variations so I can easily switch between them during live.

I can't use macros directly, because I want to be able to control the mapped value from the VST plugin itself (ie: when I change the program of the VST, I want the parameter to reflect the change, and if it's mapped to a macro it's "locked" and thus doesn't change).

One example:

I have an instrument rack containing: Reactor/Monark, a FabFilter EQ, and a simple delay.
I'm mapping some of the values of each of those VST to a MIDI controller.
I want to be able to easily switch between presets.

So far, what I'm doing is having a MIDI clip on a scene setting all the values for the preset (and program change, if needed)
It's very long to do, and I can't keep those between sets.
And if I add another parameter, I have to manually go to each of the MIDI clips to set its correct value.

I want. to have the same VSTs in the same chain, simply changing parameters.

Do you know any better way ?

Maybe a M4L device ?

Thank you
