Live Crashes Everytime I Save MIDI / Audio to my User Library

Just like the title says, Live crashes everytime I save MIDI / Audio to my Live user library. It's been happening since I upgraded to Live 11 I believe. This happens on both my M1 Macbook Pro and my Windows 10 PC.

I regularly save MIDI / Audio to my library to use for other tracks, so having to reopen live every time is annoying. I've reported it with crash files almost every time it happens for the last 6+ months.

Does anyone else experience this? I would assume maybe it has something to do with my install, but since it happens on both Mac and Windows, I bet it is a Live bug.

Weird that it's happening on all your machines.
It's definitely not a wide-spread bug afaik, so there's something either in your Library or preferences, common to all your machines, that's causing this.
Sounds like it could be because of a 3rd party plugin. Is it happening every time?
You could try resetting Live

If you sent your crash reports to [email protected] you won't get any help, you need to contact [email protected] instead.

I figured it out! I followed your instructions and reset Live. The problem went away, saves of MIDI / Audio worked without crashing. I put my usual template back, opened it up, and spent some time deleting 3rd party plugins to figure out which one was causing the issue. I had a hunch it was the plugin Levels, by Mastering in the Mix, on my Master channel. Turns out I was right!

Thank you very much for your advice. I'm happy to finally be able to save chords, melodies, and samples without getting shut down every time hah. Glad it was a plugin I rarely used too.

@rocknrory thanks for reporting. I've got exactly same issue and same fix. So did you find a workaround to use Reference plugin?

Mastering The Mix Reference plugin update to 2.0.5 fixed it.
