Send the same MIDI Note

Post by Every Day In June » Tue Feb 06, 2024 9:42 am

Hi,
I want to do something special : split my piano keyboard in 4 parts (one octave each, and I know the way to do that) so that I can hit WITH MY WHOLE HAND anywhere in this octave and hear only one note ! This is the part that hurts cause I always hear several times the same sample... It's a little bit special cause I have to make people play on my keyboards and they are ploy-handicapped, so they can't hit only one keys (or pad, even a big pad...)

I would create a Drum rack loaded with 128 empty chains. Then open the I/O section of the rack and change the "play" note for each chain.

Hello Chapelier Fou, I love your music so I'm very glad you helped me with my issues ! I'm french by the way ;-)

I've already tried this but then all the samples play together at the same time or interfere with each other and it's worth with the choke option...

I've seen your PM but will try to reply here if you don't mind as it could help some other users.

I didn't think about the "multiple trigger" issue. I guess you'd like to ignore every subsequent notes (in the same area) and trigger a note off only when all keys are released ?
I can't think of a way to do this with native devices (but might be wrong).
Possible with M4L i guess (but have no time today for this, sorry).

Yes, possibly with M4L, I'll check later (more than I already did...).
I don't want to ignore every subsequent notes, to be clear : I'd like to play one note/sample only, playing with my foot anywhere on a full octave...
Thanks anyway !!! ;-)

Yeah but you will necessarily hit several notes, not at the same time, thus triggering the same note several time.
