Nvidia overlay interfering with Live 12 shortcut

Just leaving this here since inevitably someone will come across the same problem. I could not get CTRL + ALT + M in Live 12 to toggle the mixer on my desktop. After some trial and error the fix was to make sure the Nvidia overlay and screen capture services were disabled. It's easy to forget these things even exist if you're not frequently using your machine for games. Go into Geforce experience -> Settings to disable.
