Adding Mod to Existing M4L Devices
The LFO has the mod capability now. I have a bunch of M4L Devices that do not. Is there an easy way to add this to current m4l plugins?

Re: Adding Mod to Existing M4L Devices
Ok, so I tried simply replacing the live.remote with a live.modulate. The biggest issue is that the depth knobs do not behave as expected. Also, on native modulation devices, you can choose bipolar and +/- mode, which is important and not possible when you simply swap the two. The only solution to using automations as modulations is to hope for or create a device that sums automations and then outputs a modulation... We'll see if it's ever made.

You could copy the bpatcher from eg LFO and replace the one in your device with this one.

I think Modulat has a modulators output. I tried seeing if the above was possible, but at least for the cc 8 mapper, it's not that easy

Oh, if you're trying to do this mod to Modulat then just update it to the latest version, I'm pretty sure it's been updated recently to add this feature.

I was trying to do it to the cc map 8 device. But yes, I mention Modulat because I think it will let me sum automations into a modulation out

Modulat has been updated in the last month to include the Modulate module.
