Having trouble launching Ableton Live 12 - "The File "" could not be opened"

I'm trying to launch Ableton Live 12, but I keep getting an error message that says "The File "" could not be opened." After the error, the launching screen gets stuck. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https% ... fe40a21449

It seems strange that the program is trying to open a file with no name.

I've never had this issue before, and I've been using Live 12 since it first came out (including the beta which worked fine). The current version also worked perfectly until recently.

Has anyone else encountered this error or something similar? Any help would be appreciated!

I recently installed Ableton Suite Live 12.0.10 Build: 2024-06-21_518b0e8f66 and was getting an error "info: Exception: The file “” could not be opened.". I was able to find this in my crash log files in C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 12.0.10\Preferences\Log.txt.

The solution was to remove or move the Preferences folder C:\Users\{Usernane}\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 12.0.10\Preferences and restart Ableton Live. This will force the application to recreate the folder in the default state.
