rewire in windows 2000

Post by nosuch » Fri Jul 04, 2003 9:42 am

I installed live and reason on a win 2000 maschine. while both applications work fine alone, live does not realize reason as a rewire slave.
I installed live first, now added reason.
On my PB everyting worked fine from the first minute.

what's wrong?
...just trying to figure out how to make my computer sing....

Hello Alex,

I did send you a mail but with no result. try it with the forum now.
it's live 2.03 and reason 2.5
pc is a fujitsu-siemens pentium III, 800 mhz

i installed live first, then reason, both programms are installed on the second harddrive in a folder programme, where each programm got it's own folder.

please give me a hand

Hi nosuch,

sorry for the delay. I have to process a lot of mails these days.

The way you did normally works also on Windows.

In the reason folder (where Reason is installed on the disc) must be a file called "Reason Engine.dll".

You can also take a look into the windows registry.
- enter "regedit" in the command line and press enter
- In the Registry Editor, under HKey_LOCAL_MACHINE - Software - Propellerheads Software you shoud find entries for Reason and Live.

Would be good to know if the problem also occurs under the administrator account, because you said in th email that you're not user account has not admin rights.

regards,
Alex

hello alex,
thanks for your reply.

the solution had been very simple: our admin had to start the programm once. that was it! it works fine now.
