Hi folks
I don't know why, but Ableton has renamed all my MIDI ports.
Yesterday, all my MIDI ports looked like this:
IN: HDSPe FX MIDI
IN: HDSPe FX MADI2 MIDI
IN: HDSPe FX MADI3 MIDI
IN: HDSPe FX MADI1 MIDI
IN: 2- PRO 3
IN: 2- DIN 8
IN: 2- MINILOGUE
IN: 2- SUMMIT
IN: 2- ARP 2600
IN: 2- PULSE 2
IN: 2- SUB 37
IN: 2- HAPAX
The first 4 entries are from my RME HDSPE MADU FX card.
The other entries are from my MIO XL MIDI Interface.
Today, it looks like this:
IN: 2- HDSPe FX MIDI
IN: 2- HDSPe FX MADI2 MIDI
IN: 2- HDSPe FX MADI3 MIDI
IN: 2- HDSPe FX MADI1 MIDI
IN: PRO 3
IN: DIN 8
IN: MINILOGUE
IN: SUMMIT
IN: ARP 2600
IN: PULSE 2
IN: SUB 37
IN: HAPAX
All my settings are lost and all my track presets for my external synths does not work anymore because they rely on the former MIDI port settings (with the "2-" in their name).
Any idea, what might happened and why Ableton Live 11 has renamed all my MIDI ports? Can I undo this renaming and is it possible to get my former MIDI settings back (including TRACK, SYNC; REMOTE settings for each port)?

Re: Ableton did rename all my MIDI Ports
Hi
Did you find a solution to this? Ableton has added "2-" in front of all RME MIDI ports in my system. I have many preset instruments and drum racks using the original port names and now they don't work...

If you have multiple interfaces or midi hardware, did you try unplugging them and then re-plugging them in a different order (with your RME one first)?charlie2012 wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 6:50 pmAbleton has added "2-" in front of all RME MIDI ports in my system.
