Hello,
I know the answer might seem obvious to most but I've already googled and found nothing. As the title says, I'm trying to find a way to play the other tracks of one scene whenever I hit the record button to make another track for that scene. This way I can monitor what I've recorded so far and this will help me to better keep time and maybe to improvise. I know I can play the whole scene in session view and play the new track while listening but there will always be a gap between hitting play and the starting of the new recording and I'll have to manually shift the notes and I prefere recording in arrangement view.
So is there a practical way to do it?
Thanks a lot
Edit: yes, I figured it out, I don't know it didn't work previously, I don't know how to remove the post though ahahah
How to listen to the other tracks while recording a new one
Re: How to listen to the other tracks while recording a new one
Select all of the clips in the scene.
Click one of the clips, press TAB, drop the clips into Arrangement view. Arm the track you want to record and record it. Drag the new track's recording back to session view and drop it in it's track. All of the clips should fire at the same time and play to their length.

There's gotta be a way to play the scene you're adding to. Session record is useless without it. How do you play the scene and record a clip at the same time?

The clips have to have green launch buttons or they will not play when you record in session mode. A workaround is to play the scene and then stop it with the main stop button not the clip stop. Then record your clip.
This is something about clip launch settings that is not explained in the manual IMO
