Hi,
I am using Ableton 12 on two computers (both Windows 11). A studio desktop and a laptop. I want to sync the user library on both computers so that I have all my presets and collections available on both machines.
I just did a clean reinstall of Windows and Ableton on both computers as before I was having a corruption issue with Ableton projects (missing samples). I worked out that the project corruption issue was due to me having my User Library on Google Drive. Even though I always collect all and saved my projects, something went wrong with the file system and it had to be resolved.
So my question is: What is the best way to sync the User Library between two computers? I mainly just want my user presets and particularly my Collections to be in sync. However, I want to avoid issues like before. Syncing presets is easy but the issue is Collections and particularly sample tags within Collections. When I tag new samples to a Collection on my laptop I then copy the XMP files to User Library on the studio computer. However, they don't appear in Collections on the studio computer. Any ideas what is happening and how to optimise the User Library syncing?
Thanks

There's a help article on the website about this - https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/artic ... bd12fcd70f

May not work for everyone, but I use OneDrive for the user folder, additional samples, projects, rendered songs, etc.
