Live 12 : Ableton 'hard arm" deselected when another tarck is selected

I also had the same result using Rec + Track to arm: Ableton still switched my input. Anyway it's already too many exceptions to keep track of.

Lets hope they clear it up soon.

Exclusive Arm off, and basically the rest off except Start transport on record and with tap tempo turned on.

No biggie (for me), thanks anyway, I don't think i could get used to arming tracks with Rec + Track. I do it so much it needs to be a one-handed operation. If I don't arm tracks with the Push track selection buttons then i use a LaunchControl XL. Now that i know about changing my MIDI input from All Ins to the one specific device i'm using for any tracks that i need to not dis-arm, and that any input stealing only happens with Push while it's in Note mode, I think i'm all good.

I suppose this default behavior of the Push even makes sense, now that i've gone around the world with it. Being able to switch tracks/instruments quickly with one press, without the long press, could have its advantages, and i guess it also makes sense it would dis-arm my hard-armed tracks by default, so that i could play just that instrument from the Push grid. It still seems like something that could be customized to work the way some people would expect.

Ah....so we were not talking about the same issue.
Also, reading you previous posts, it seems that I misunderstood you from the beginning, since my problem also happens in L11. Sorry for this, and happy for you that your issue got solved.

sorry it seems to be resolved (as eplained by support) but finally not.
Problem is always present : Hard arm selected track are automatically deselected when a new one is selected and it only happens with PUSH 2 is powered on.

I tested the options.txt trick with "-Push2UseLegacyScript" option and It cames back to the normal behaviour by doing the following actions : 

1) create options.txt with "-Push2UseLegacyScript" option

2) In options>preferences>Link, Tempo & Midi
Input ports and Ouput ports : I disabled "Ableton push 2(port 2)" -> uncheck all boxes
Note : Previously in live 11 i didn't use "port 2" which should be the user port but it was the only option available in LIve 12.

3) Restart live and Push

Now the hard arm thing works with push 2 and :
- control surface section displays input and output named "push 2" as before
- but no more "Ableton push 2 " in input and output ports section (different from Live 11, seems strange).
