How to start playback from beginning of project?

Hi guys,

Hope you are all well. I'm switching from Logic to Ableton since a few days. One of the key things I can't find out is that in Logic I set up a key command (Enter) for always start playback from the start 1.1.1
I always start my projects on 1.1.1 so when I'm building beats I like to jump back to the start and hear the groove from the start.
I can't figure out how to do this in Live. Is there already a key command or can I create one myself?
Only thing a friend of mine send last night was spacebar + double press stop button with mouse. Bit unhandy.

Create an arrangement marker at 1.1.1.1, then right-click on the marker and select Play From Here.

I made the marker with the "Set" button and then right click on the marker like you said.
Then chose the option for "Set Song Start Time Here"
This works! To play from other parts of my loop, let's say bar 5 in 8 bar loop, I have to press space bar first to stip and then click with mouse on where I want to start to resume? Can't click in section while in Play mode??

Personally I've always found starting playback to be a bit fiddly in Ableton compared to e.g. Logic, but it may be there are features I'm overlooking. Anyway, not sure if this helps, but if you don't have playback set to start at a locator or the loop region, it'll start at the insertion point or the beginning of the selection if there is one.

Whether stopped or in playback mode, you can also jump around and start playback by clicking in the lane right under the loop bracket (the cursor will turn into a speaker icon). Note that this will be quantized to the global quantize setting (menu at the end of the row of controls in the upper left).

You can assign a key on the keyboard to the marker. I often do this, for example, to jump directly to a specific marker.

Let's assume you have 3 markers with the default names 1, 2 and 3. Now you can assign the keyboard keys 1, 2 and 3 to these markers by pressing the "Key" button - top right, next to the "Midi" button -, clicking on one of the markers and then pressing the desired key (e.g. 1).

When you have finished, press the "Key" button again. The marker is then jumped to when the corresponding key is pressed.

One more thing that I find super annoying(could be just me). When I have loop mode activated on a section and I want to make a few edits on a section. I click on a region for example and these insert markers appear everytime and each time you press space bar now, playback starts from that point and not the loop starting point anymore. Is there a workaround for this to overwrite these loop markers appearing each time, or make the loop markers the main playback boss sort of speak?

Tried this just now, I chose the "Return" on the Mac. Worked great but when I activated the loop mode again, then it doesn't work anymore...?

Holy hell! I never knew you could invoke the loop brace as a movable “play from here”. This is going to be killer (good!) for my workflow.
