Hi,
Ive done the driver error compensation walkthrough to set my latency, but my recorded signal is EARLY, not late. (see screenshot attached)
When i adjust my driver error compensation to -1.32 it is bang on in time - But when i go back to my project (with zero plugins) I am still getting latency when recording in.
Any ideas what's up here and how to fix this?
Thanks

This is from 2021
it's now 2023 and I have the same question. Sadly the help-section doesn't tell anything about TOO EARLY compensation and causes and what to do.
If anyone can shine a light on this, that would be great!

I'm not as tech savvy as I'd like to be answering this,
but after surfing around the web for a bit I've seen a comment suggesting to drop the sample rate, I dropped mine from 48k to 44k and it seemed to work, this pre-delay is now almost unnoticeable.
my assumption is that maybe the soundcard itself has it's own error compensation, or something of the sorts, and it might be overcompensating by a bit.
if anyone finds a solution for this, or a more in-depth explanation for this phenomena, that'd be amazing!

I experienced the same issue with my Behringer UMC404. The waveform was coming in a bit too early. I just ran the test over and over while adjusting the DEC by intervals of samples and landed on -9, which translates to -0.20 ms. Now the two waveforms in the test are near identical. If you're still getting latency after correcting the DEC then I guess there's something else that's to blame but I don't know what. I just wanted to comment to address the issue of the test showing and early signal because it's not mentioned in the tutorial.
