license does not match your live suite installlation : )

I bought a Novation Launchpad Pro a while back. I tried to install it recently (AGAIN) now that I'm using the Launchpad Pro to practice. I got as far as being able to install it normally on Live Lite 12 but I'm about backwards compatibility to Live Lite 9, its whats mentioned in the Manual for the equipment.

Currently I uninstalled Live Lite 12 and I'm trying to install Live Lite 9 instead but after the 9 install it says "license does not match your live suite installlation"

Is There a way around this? Thank you.

Backward compatibility just means that newer versions can open files from older versions, it does not mean that you can use older versions with a license for a newer version.

And Suite is a completely different version from Lite, you may have downloaded the wrong installer.

Aside from my title type I noticed that I downloaded the wrong version of ableton also. Yes it was the suite. I'll try the correct version this time. Thank you.
