Does anyone know what's happening when I copy and paste midi across a clip or from clip-to-clip that causes other smaller notes to appear in roughly the same position? I probably should have saved a screenshot (I will upload if it happens again). I just want to know what I'm doing wrong. I'm pasting a midi pattern to another location thinking that it will just copy over existing notes if they're in the same spot, but sometimes I find much smaller notes next to the notes I've just finished pasting. Is that because the existing notes were a little longer? Is there a way to avoid this rather than deleting and then pasting? The side effect is that I get notes that play "almost" at the same time, causing phasing and volume issues
Edit: here's an image of what happens. If I don't zoom, I can't even see the note, which causes so much more editing and audio artifacts. You can see after the paste that the C1 note got pushed up a bit so that it doesn't copy over the existing note. However, when copying over F3 it worked. Both notes were lined up pretty much the same, but I'm thinking that the C1 was moved a bit to the right of the grid when I used "humanize". It seems like it functions as designed, but is there an easy way to prevent this from happening? It causes more problems than anything good haha
