steinberg remix was live 0.5 if I correctly remember.
it seems to recall that ableton left steinberg distribute/market/whatever the live "prototipe"

The product is real enough, just not available anymore!

It cost about £25 in the UK was restricted to 8 tracks and one VST effect. It was however about the best value piece of software that I ever bought and provided the up-grade path to Live.

I suspect that it was just too good value and after a big splash disapeared pretty quickly.

There is a review in Computer Music Magazine somewhere.

definately real.i used to use it.came out a few years back.nowhere as good as the real thing though but well worth the price.i paid 15 pounds for it.
