Super low audio output from my Push 3 standalone
Super low audio output from my Push 3 standalone
I have a Push 3 standalone, and the audio output from both the main and the headphone output is about 20dB lower than I'm getting out of my other audio interfaces. I've compared it to both Ultralite MK5, and Scarlet 18i20. Even when I set all the volumes on the Push 3 to max (headphone output, main output and master volume).
I'm wondering if there's some setting I'm missing? Or might I just have a faulty Push 3?

That doesn't sound right indeed!

Found out what was the problem. On my Mac in the "Audio MIDI setup" program found in Applications/Utilities, there is a gain stage called "primary", which was set to 0.1, but generally should be set to 0.878 (0dB). Now everything sounds good.

Oh yeah, I've heard about this but forgot, sorry!
What's surprising is that it affects it in Standalone.
The issue is known but we always need more data to fix so please make sure to report to Support

Yes, he did say "standalone" in his title and in his original post, but now that he's mentioned the Mac I'm not sure he was actually using it standalone.
