Re: Push 3 ADAT I/O recommendations?
Picked up an original Arturia Audiofuse secondhand and it works like a charm.
Doesn't need a computer to run the ADAT standalone through the MIX.
Does seem to need both IN and OUT connected simultaneously to not have occasional pops.
Much better experience than the Audient.

How’s the Ultralite mk5 working for you?102455 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 5:21 pmOrdered myself a MOTU UltraLite mk5 yesterday, and it arrived earlier today.
So far so good, although I couldn't register it as their confirmation email never arrived.
Bought a couple of Toslink cables from Amazon for £6 each, then minutes later found some on another site for £1.50 each![]()

It's a very capable interface, but it was bought more for if/when it's required, rather than every day use, so it mainly sits on the shelf.

Hey there fellow Pushers. I have been using a Behringer ADA8200 and I cannot figure out how to get rid of the random pops and clicks in the audio. Are these deemed to be flawed with Push Standalone? Can I get a recommendation of something similar??? Thanks in advance

Hi! I guess that the new Expert Sleepers ES-10 will be another contender here, right? From the specs it seems to be compatible with the Push 3 SA

Indeed it is a serious contender for a eurorack solution.
I recently got a MOTU Ultralite mk5, which does quite well with eurorack levels but is also fully ready to interface with line levels and has two nice mic preamps.
There are some nice options available these days.

Check the synchronization of your digital setup (master/slave).wishyoudefeat wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 12:48 amHey there fellow Pushers. has anyone tested Arturia Audiofuse 16 rig with Push 3 standalone as adat interface

Re: Push 3 ADAT I/O recommendations?
Used a Fireface 800 with Push 3 just the other day, not at all surprising that it works fine. If any of you have access to a computer with firewire ports the FF800's are going for less than $500 these days and they're tanks.
Another option is to just get a dedicated ADAT pre, 8 in/out with preamps, there are about 5 different brands from Bheringer selling one for $150 etc.

Re: Push 3 ADAT I/O recommendations?
TLDR: What is the most efficient way to route 8 mono channels from P3S into 8 analog line ins on my Tascam Model 12 (assuming there's no way to use the UMC1820, which I already have, to achieve this)?
Hi all, I'm looking for guidance on how to achieve a specific workflow for live performances using Push 3 Standalone with a Tascam Model 12 mixer.
Essentially, I want to use the P3S in the same way I use my MPC Live 2, which is to route up to 8 channels/outputs to an interface and come out of the interface with 8 analog outputs into the Tascam Model 12. With my MPC, I set it in "audio interface mode," which allows for 32 I/Os via USB, and connect it to the Behringer UMC1820. Then, I use the analog line outs from the UMC1820 to connect to the Model 12 channels. This works perfectly.
With all the research I've done, though, it seems the UMC1820 cannot work as a bridge in this way with the P3S since the latter depends on ADAT to expand the number of I/Os (and not USB like the MPC), which cannot be routed properly, at least when it is in Standalone mode.
So, my questions are:
1) Is it indeed correct that there is no practical way for the UMC1820 to achieve this, even if I only needed to establish the routing once (with my laptop and software if that's even possible)?
2) Is it correct that the ADA8200 would work for my purpose? It seems like it would, based on my research, but I've also seen mixed feedback, including reports of noisy outputs.
3) Are there any other "value-based" options I should consider? Again, this intended workflow is only to be used in conjunction with a mixer and no analog gear for the single purpose of live "DJ-like" performing (and, importantly, without a computer). Therefore, I'm trying to keep things relatively cheap since I only need something that will achieve my singular need here: converting up to 8 channels from P3S to discrete analog channels running into the Model 12.
Most of the related discussions have been focused on input expansion, but in my case, I'm only concerned with the output side of things (e.g., I don't care about the quality or number of analog inputs).
Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Hey would you mind helping with how you’ve set this up? I just got a second hand audiofuse studio and want to expand my I/O on my push 3. Thank yousecretkillerofnames wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2024 8:52 pmPicked up an original Arturia Audiofuse secondhand and it works like a charm.

Re: Push 3 ADAT I/O recommendations?
Supposing I am just interested in something that serves as direct monitoring for tracking a soloist, and I don't need it to function as an interface with a current model computer, and I don't really need multiple outs. Also, if I were using the push as a field or on-sight recorder in this example, I wouldn't want anything that doubles the weight of the recording package.
That said, wouldn't a RME ADI 2 work? Doesn't it have direct monitoring? Couldn't it be configured as a preamp?

Re: Push 3 ADAT I/O recommendations?
How would this interface with a Push3 (non SA)? Would I be able to convert MIDI sequences to CV and send out to the ES10 via ADAT?eblomquist wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 9:06 amIndeed it is a serious contender for a eurorack solution.

I feel like a cleaner setup could be adat from push3 into my Pulse 16 so the audio would hit my RME interface and I wouldn't need to switch to the Push3 audio. And then ideally send cv pitch and gate from the Push3 pedal outs and into a little modular setup without needing an ES10 at all. I was thinking about something very small, like an 0-Coast or similar. The goal would be feed max4live sequences to the module and record the audio into my RME and not need the Push3 interface.
Still trying to figure out if my idea will work, I do not know if this is actually possible.

Re: Push 3 ADAT I/O recommendations?
Aggregate device will do the job, but I would use my nice Apollo to record analog signals in… for everything else just use push. I’m pretty happy with the arturia X8 expanders.mason_mcclanahan wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 9:01 pmBefore I got the push 3, I already had the UA Apollo x4, which has great audio conversion that I am reluctant to replace with the Push 3 audio interface. Despite the fact Apollo x4 already has 4 inputs, it would be really cool to add 2 more mono inputs from push 3 via an ADAT connection. I have Push 3 sending adat out to apollo x4 adat in, with the apollo x4 set as ableton's audio interface, but am not getting sound. I'm using the same sampling rate and clock source. Does anyone know how these interfaces ADATs map to one another to extend the capabilities?
Not sure if I am being greedy wanting to combine interfaces to get more ins / outs, if these interfaces are compatible via adat, if I should go the route of creating an aggregate device in macbook pro audio midi setup, or if I like the interface on push 3 enough for it to replace the apollo x4?
