I am wondering what the risk is to plug my push sa audio outs into an unknown mixer with an unknown person running sound -- If phantom power gets turned on and I am just using trs-xlr cables, is the push going to get fried?
If so, would putting a 2-channel direct box in between be the solution?

Phantom power on a mixer's input? Does that exist?

I don’t know the answer to the risk of damage from phantom power but FWIW I *always* used my own DI boxes between my gear and the stagebox/desk at any venue. There are multiple benefits from carrying a DI box as part of your rig, they can be little problem-solvers especially with long cable runs.analog_rome wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 12:50 amI am wondering what the risk is to plug my push sa audio outs into an unknown mixer with an unknown person running sound -- If phantom power gets turned on and I am just using trs-xlr cables, is the push going to get fried?

My Radial JDI went with me everywhere when I used to play live. Just make sure it doesn’t get packed up by the house engineers and taken away at the end of the gig!

Thanks. This week I learned what those boxes are for.
