Hello,
I have been reading the manual and searching the web for the last couple hours trying to figure out how to add sustain information to an existing MIDI clip. I have seen a fairly straight-forward example for Live 11, but nothing very clear for Live 12.
The manual says "Select MIDI Ctrl in the chooser in the envelope section of a MIDI clip...", but I cannot find the MIDI Ctrl chooser. I have meticulously went through the menus, the MIDI clip section and anything else I could poke or prod but I must be missing the obvious.
I would appreciate any help. I cannot figure out where else to look.
Thanks.
Edit MIDI value for sustain pedal in an existing MIDI clip
Re: Edit MIDI value for sustain pedal in an existing MIDI clip
Double click on the clip, in the clip window on the bottom select the Envelopes (instead of Notes). Select "show all envelopes" and adjust the Midi Ctrl for "Sustain Pedal" (64)

Re: Edit MIDI value for sustain pedal in an existing MIDI clip
Thanks, but, unless I misunderstood your answer, I think that may be for Live 11.
I finnaly located it in 12 by:
- Click on the MIDI clip.
- Select 'Envelopes' from the upper center of the lower section.
- At the lower left of the MIDI clip is a set of choosers.
- Select 'MIDI Ctrl' from the first chooser.
- Select '64 Sustain Pedal' from the second chooser.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer my question.
