Don't break my heart like that lolAngstrom wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 3:24 pmWhen you comment on a YT video, that becomes the highlighted comment for you, nobody else is seeing your comment as highlighted. Also, Roli seem to have a bot replying to everyone on their teaser video.
But hey, time will tell, eh! Lets all see what these companies release on that date. Personally I'm placing a large bet that the two products are unrelated, totally different and unconnected. But it's fun to have theories, that is after all why these corporations do teaser campaigns - to get people guessing.

Don's shatter my dreams! Just kidding, yeah maybe you're right, but this IS fun, and there is a little something there. I personally think ableton are going deeper into MPE with a company that can make solid MPE devices, better than the Push 3 at least.Angstrom wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 3:24 pmWhen you comment on a YT video, that becomes the highlighted comment for you, nobody else is seeing your comment as highlighted. I think a circuit type device but with a mini push feel with 8 smooth encoders an lcd screen akin to push and a square and flat premium feel profile and a slightly raised single square block pad section like the Roli block M but that can become 64 mini pads and with all the push functionality and also faders, xy pad etc would be bought immediately by me.

Re: This post will most likely be reMOVEd
Yes this, the "blank" space which makes up the ROLI blocks surface can become anything you need it to be. With Haptic feedback they can mimic the feel of fader resistance if there is a "fader page" or whatnot. I really think this is what it is in some form, pretty excited for next week!DavidassMagoza wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 7:33 pmI think a circuit type device but with a mini push feel with 8 smooth encoders an lcd screen akin to push and a square and flat premium feel profile and a slightly raised single square block pad section like the Roli block M but that can become 64 mini pads and with all the push functionality and also faders, xy pad etc would be bought immediately by me.![]()

Oh jeez I really hope they aren't teaming up with Roli, terrible company, just hacky as it gets.
Their plugins phone home and require their adware to be installed and running or they don't. I'm about to sell all my Roli kit in one go. Tired of their antics.

i liked the roli block m and would welcome this functionality in a mini push all day long.
There is no real alternative out there in an all in one device or controller, what novation or akai does with their pads are no where near the utility and flexibility that roli does and add in the screen/encoders ableton note in a box im in love.

I truly hope it’s nothing this gimmicky. And no, Roli is not the only or “best” MPE controller available, IMHO.
I’m happy with whatever becomes of the announcement; if it’s something I adopt in my use of live, all the merrier. But a roll board or whatever would be an easy way to keep my pockets lined.
Something smaller than the push? Great. Something with a cross fader or a mixer view or an arrangement transport that fits under one hand like a faderfox? Sure. But it could also be a cloud service, “moving” files and sharing projects. It could be a new festival. It could be related to visuals and dance. And a week isn’t too long to distract myself until the actual announcement.

I disagree, from Push 2 Ableton started to make their HW in house so I doubt they bought a HW company, seems redundant. Also Push 3 brought MPE so a Seaboard while different might be too much of a competitor to Push 3 and cannibalize sales.
In my imagination Move is an interface for translating dancing to ryrthmic composition , as the arcade game Dance Dance Revolution. I doubt that's it but the name reminds me of that.
I think it will be a controller for Note.

Well there's one product that isn't in their Oct 8 announcement. I mean it's really just a rebranding to shed the Lumi name from the product, but nonetheless. Just in less than a week we shall see.

The herd seem to be thinking along the lines of: Move is to Note as Push is to Live.
Re: This post will most likely be reMOVEd
That's probably the weakest argument out there. No one is asking for that, and the niche crowd that is would never be enough for a company to make an entirely new product. 100% confidence it is not about Note although i wouldn't rule out compatibility. But if that's their move to have a controller for Note, their stock value is going to plummet

Controller with accelerometers, my guess.
I was using wiimotes ages ago to control livesets and fx or devices, and it was already soooo exptressive and intuitive. If they built something around that technology, this would be my dream come true.
But I am happy to get surprised!!! Can't wait for the eigth.

I heard from a famous DJ that it's actually a totally new product, a pro-level laxative.
Sorry to ruin the surprise, but really it's obvious if you think about it.

Some observations (probably nothing) from the image/video:
Rolled Up Posters (Roli?) (Loops?)
‘Copies’ of the same poster
Posters being ‘Pasted’ onto a grid
(Copy & Paste)
Sketch board at the side of the poster board. (Sketch device)
Oct 8 (Octopus has 8 tentacles) 8x8
A bicycle cycling (Cycling 74’?)
Move in pixellated font (Screen of some sort)
Move (A device that you can move around with easily)
