Ableton is a private companyFeerlyss wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 2:47 pmThat's probably the weakest argument out there. No one is asking for that, and the niche crowd that is would never be enough for a company to make an entirely new product. 100% confidence it is not about Note although i wouldn't rule out compatibility. But if that's their move to have a controller for Note, their stock value is going to plummet

Re: This post will most likely be reMOVEd
Just for a laugh, I asked chatGPT about MOVE. I had it look at the existing Ableton products, and compare the name of the product to the functionality.
Then I asked for 3 ideas for what it thought MOVE could be:
1. Ableton Move Controller - A versatile device combining gesture control, dynamic mixing, and movement-based tempo adjustment.
2. Ableton Move Beat - A rhythmic sequencer that generates beats based on user-defined movement patterns, encouraging interactive music creation.
3. Ableton Move Sync - A tool for aligning audio and video elements in real time, ensuring synchronization for multimedia performances.
I then asked for the first one in detail:
Ableton Move Controller
Description
The Ableton Move Controller is an innovative, motion-sensitive device designed for live performances and music production. It combines gesture control, dynamic mixing, and real-time tempo adjustment based on the user’s movements, providing an immersive and interactive experience for musicians.
Functionality
• Gesture Control: Users can manipulate sound and effects through gestures, enabling real-time adjustments to audio parameters. This feature allows musicians to create unique soundscapes that are influenced by their physical presence.
• Dynamic Mixing: The touchscreen interface allows users to mix tracks by swiping and moving their fingers across the screen. This intuitive approach enables fluid adjustments to audio levels, effects, and transitions during performances.
• Movement-Based Tempo Adjustment: The device tracks the user’s movements to dynamically adjust the tempo and groove of the music, creating a responsive performance environment that enhances the creative flow.
[In case you skipped the first line, this was generated by chatGPT for a laugh. Although it does sound quite funky.]

I suggest we all pop back into this thread on the 8th to celebrate how totally correct you got it.
OR, this thread becomes piss-take central. I mean, you do seem very confident about quite an unlikely crossover. Well, we will find out in just a few days.

Re: This post will most likely be reMOVEd
@Feerlyss, reading about your imagination for the last few days has been quite entertaining.
I'm not allowed to say anything of course but I can at least say this: you might be right, or wrong.

Re: This post will most likely be reMOVEd
I was thinking how important it is that we keep bumping this thread. Don't let Ableton hide this genius deduction !!!

My wife was saying "you guys are so cruel to each other" and I said "no, no, no, just some lighthearted ribbing darling!"
I'm going to tell her she was right.

You should have seen this place before Ableton moderated it at all. At one point Ableton believed ANY censorship at all was too authoritarian.
I loved them for that, but sometimes it did look like 4chan around here.
