Adding more clips and scenes post-arrangement

Post by Mexile » Mon Sep 23, 2024 8:56 pm

Apologies for the simpleton newbie question.

I made a few clips and scenes, then made a rough arrangement. When I go back to Session view and trying to add new clips, the playback is of the arrangement.

I deactivated all clips in Arrangement so that I could work in Session without hearing the arrangement play. Is there a better way to do this, please?

I'm still learning Live and Push, and this problem has stumped me.

The arrangement view plays by default if everything is reset.

The Session View channels each override Arrangement View channels when there is engagement. This can either be Playing a clip or Stopping a clip.

If you haven’t hit either of those on a Session channel while arrangement is still active, those Arrangement channels will play their contents.

To stop an arrangement channel without triggering a clip, hit Stop on that channel, and don’t hit the Back to Arrangement buttons.

A quick way to stop all channels is to hit a scene stop or Stop all clips/channels.
