Having a major brain fart when it comes to warping.
I've got loads of dnb and jungle breaks that naturally sit around 160-170 bpm. What I like to do is warp them and then drop them into a project at a completely different tempo, like 130bpm to sit nicely in a house tune for example.
However, even after warping the drum breaks still play at their original speed of 160 even if the project tempo is at 130??
I never used to have this issue, but maybe it since I moved to Ableton 12. I have auto warp samples off.
Any ideas?
Warping question
Re: Warping question
For one of these clips that isn't warping correctly, what's the natural tempo, and what are the warp settings? (A screenshot might help.) In particular, the BPM field in the warp section should (generally speaking) match the natural tempo for the loop.
Re: Warping question
Thanks for getting back to me. Its weird as the clips don't show their natural tempo in the main clip properties. It just stays at the default 120bpm., even after warping.
Would definitely help if i could post some screenshots. Sorry to be a complete noob, but is their an easy way to do that? I know I cant copy and paste for some reason. I have to host the images somewhere?

Re: Warping question
I think you do have to host images elsewhere (I've never posted any images here myself).
But, you don't necessarily need to post an image. The next thing I'd mention, just in case you don't already know, is that the 'BPM' field isn't just informational - it's also user-editable. So, I'd suggest entering the natural tempo of the loop in that field and see if that addresses the issue.
