Forgive me for not knowing this, as a long time Ableton User...
But I am working on a project and need a single folder in the Browser side window, to be full of all the sounds/samples i need to use.
Is there a way to get a single folder to expand and hold maybe another 12 folders of sounds?
Or do i need to add each sample pack folder individually to the side browser?
My Browser is already quite full and disorganised, as i need to sort it out, but folders within folders would be great, for certain niche projects..
(I'm not at Ableton Live 12.1 at the moment, hence a quick ask on here)
Thanks!
Folders in the Browser Window?
Re: Folders in the Browser Window?
Yes you can, but unfortunately they did not deem it important to allow column viewing, so you have to click on each subfolder until you get where you want in the tree view hierarchy. Not practical (Windows-like, for a Mac use it is odd not to have that option, so much more efficient to dig).
Also many people have experienced the Browser getting stuck cataloguing as it needs to parse through and catalog all the stuff you have in any folder you place in it. I had that issue, so now I am very careful and only add subfolders parsimonioulsy and keep most of my samples outside of the Ableton eco-system.
