Slide on SQ Sequencer?

Post by yoyotomio » Fri Nov 22, 2024 9:22 pm

I was wondering if it was possible to do 303-style slides/pitch bend notes using the SQ Sequencer from the Ableton pack? If so, how does one do it?

I didn't try, but in theory it should be a matter of assigning Slide to PB in your synth.
But 303 glides actually are about having some glide applied to mono lines, which is something you set in the synth itself. Notes-wise just make sure they're legato for the glide to be played.

Yeah that's the weird thing, I tried setting legato in my synth and long note lengths but that didn't seem to quite get the same effect.

You shouldn't have to use Slide, which corresponds to MPE's slide and sends CC74.
Aren't you mixing up slide and glide by any chance?

Oh btw, the Slide sequencers is part of Rhythmic Steps, not SQ Sequencer.
I'm confused...
