Please make search in the browser location sensitive!

Post by Mr D » Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:59 pm

Imagine I search in my plugins folder for "compressor".

A few minutes later i go to a folder of samples to look for something.

Hey, where did all my samples go!?

DOH! "Compressor" is still in the search box.

Is there a fix for this or a setting i'm not aware of?

How likely is it that i'll search for the same word in different categories? Not very!

Please at least give us the option that the search word will be tied to the location, so if i search "compressor" in plugins, then go to a folder of samples, the word "compressor" automatically gets removed from the search box.

I thank you for your cooperation!

This doesn’t personally disturb my workflow. Most of the time, I use the shortcut [cmd/ctrl + F] to quickly search for a sample or device.

I also use the [esc] key when I want to clear the text in the Search Field. Maybe this could be helpful in your situation?

The new update lets you filter the search by typing in #
It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but I'm sure it can help in some way!
