Help: Push 3 Standalone Connecting to RME 400 via ADAT

Post by SPIRITWORLD » Wed Dec 18, 2024 4:02 am

I just got a Push 3 standalone and i'm trying to run ADAT out of the Push to the ADAT input of the RME 400 so I can run a small mixing board live with individual tracks from the Push.

I believe the issue is with the RME, as the track routing & Push settings etc are all set up. I have checked the saved RME settings and both units are at 48000. The RME is set to Master etc.

I know each sound card is unique when it comes to ADAT etc. Does anyone have experience with running Push 3 and RME 400 / 800 via ADAT.

Tips would be appreciated!

I have no experience with Push/Adat, but logically it is a question of master and slave. When you send Push Adat Out to RME 400 Adat In , Push has to be the master. Otherwise connect both ins and outs, that Push gets Adat Sync from RME.

Thanks for this. I have tried setting the RME to both master and slave and have connected both the in and out adapt inputs on both devices, as I hear that some units required ed a two way connection. Unfortunately, neither has worked.

Actually ADAT should work when properly configured, unless there is a defect. It is audio standard for long time. Maybe you should ask in the RME forum: https://forum.rme-audio.de/

Bumping this up! Please help. I took a long break from trying to sort this out and i've come back with a fresh brain but the same issue persists.

I'm running both ADAT in and out of a RME 400.

Push 3 is recognizing the unit as "ADAT IN" lights up and the sample rate changes.

However, for the life of me I can still NOT get the audio to come out of the Push 3 Standalone to the RME on any channels.

Any help would be appreciated!

Did you select the right ADAT output in Push?
Can you see audio coming into the RME on the TotalMix software?
TotalMix is very versatile.
