Hi folks,
I'm looking for some workflow suggestions in Ableton.
My goal: I want to load 128 vocal chop WAVs into a drum rack.
Problem is, if i just drag the samples into the drum rack, it'll put each sample inside a simpler, in one shot mode.
But i'd i want to have a short release and not one-shot mode, so it's quite tedious, as i audition each sample, to have to each time select "classic" and then adjust the release for every pad.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve this, so that it automatically sets up each Simpler how i need it?
Strangely, i notice that if you tweak a Simpler, and save it as the default, that doesn't effect the settings the Simpler has when you drag a sample into a pad (it will always be one-shot).
And is it even possible that it loads up a Sampler, not a Simpler?
Thanks in advance!
Multi-sample drum rack load, with different settings from default?
Re: Multi-sample drum rack load, with different settings from default?
The fine people over at the KVR forum helped me with this, just in case anybody else runs up against the same problem, the answer is:
Load a Simpler or Sampler device into a Drumrack, tweak the settings to your liking.
Right click on the Pad choose "Save as Default Pad".
Next time you drag a WAV onto an empty pad, Simpler or Sampler will open with your tweaked settings.
