Push *3* pedal remap?

Post by rmedek » Fri May 10, 2024 7:26 pm

I'm using a Push 3 in standalone mode and it drives me crazy the footswitches are hard-wired to sustain and record, unless in User Mode. Previously I used MidiPipe on my laptop to intercept the sustain message and replace it with a mappable MIDI CC. In standalone mode I don't have this option.

I recently found a M4L device, Push 2 Pedal Remap, which seemed very promising but unfortunately doesn't work in the Push 3 on Live 12.

In a perfect world there would be a Push 3 Pedal Remap and I just haven't found it yet. (Or, of course, if Ableton would integrate an option to make these inputs assignable.) Does anyone know of any other alternatives other than buying new hardware?

Thanks for any help!

Bumping this... it would be nice to be able to plug in a couple foot switches or buttons to send assignable CC triggers.

Ideally as a 3rd option in the pedals/cv tab rather than a less-integrated max device.

Bump. If anyone from Ableton is monitoring this, it would turn Push 3 Standalone into a killer drum kit.

And failing that, if anyone had had success getting CC from the sustain or record pedal inputs with M4L, please do share (or even sell).

These can be remapped via M4L (it didn't correctly work when released but it was fixed since then).

That’s wonderful news @[jur] do you know if any details have been published on how to do this?
