I've contacted ableton support and it's been like a week and they haven't answered yet.

Yeah, I haven't been able to use Live for 3 weeks due to its broken authorization system. Requests for a new authorization remain unanswered.

Did you click the 'Request another authorization' link in your account or did you write an email to support? The former is usually pretty fast (the same or next work day).

I did request an additional authorization three weeks ago (and the request is in the system because clicking the link now always shows the "Good news, we're already working on it." message) and I opened a ticket on January 12. So far nothing.

I want to take back my comment about requests for additional authorization being handled quickly. This is not the case anymore.
When I wrote my previous message, I had submitted one of those requests myself. However, a week has passed, and I still haven't received any reaction.
Have you heard anything in the meantime?

Yes, they finally got back to me on January 23 (with a reply to my ticket) and I got a new authorization. So it took 11 days after I opened the ticket (or about 24 days after I requested the additional authorization).
I dread the day that I'll have to go through this again; probably after the next security update.
