In Live 9, there used to be a shortcut Option Command F to bring up the fade handles on audio clips in the arrangement view. This didnt matter if automation lanes were enabled or not, or if Computer MIDI Keyboard was on or not.
Now in Live 12 it seems they have taken away this very simple process, and now it seems as though I have to go through a 5 step process to just add a simple fade to an audio clip, without losing my normal workflow.
Step 1: Turn off Computer MIDI Keyboard
Step 2: Turn off Automation
Step 3: Fade the clip
Step 4: Turn on Automation
Step 5: Turn on Computer MIDI Keyboard
How is this efficient? I would like the ability to be uninterrupted in my flow, by showing fades with a simple shortcut. Fades isn't even in the track automation dropdown anymore!
"Show Fades" isnt even a menu item anymore, so I cant even set a mac OS keyboard shortcut for that menu item.
Show Fades shortcut in 12?
Re: Show Fades shortcut in 12?
Press F to show the fades, or Shift+F when the Computer MIDI Keyboard is enabled.
You can use the Shift key in combination with many single-letter shortcuts, so you don't have to disable the Computer MIDI Keyboard.

Thank you thank you thank you! This has been driving me nuts. I thought of probably any conceivable combination of modifier keys and combinations, except shift lmao!
