Freeze track - takes ages to complete!!!

Anyone suffering this too?

No large projects. No huge chains. Just 1 plugin at a time on a single track.

UA plugins (especially SCS) are very slow and a handfull of others are taking many minutes if not longer. Other plugs just zoom through.

Anyone know how to diagnose / improve this situation?

Ha, I have a similar problem with version 12.1.10 under Windows 10 right now.

I have started a new project.

1 track, 4 bar chord progression with IK Multimedia Pianoverse. Nothing else at all.

When I try to freeze it, the whole program freezes. The dialog with the progress bar still appears, but remains at 0% for an infinitely long time. The attempt to close this dialog ends with an Ableton crash.

There are no other tracks or plug-ins in the project.

If you want to know why I freeze such a small track, its a secret

Update:
Before I sent this text, I did another test with a different VST (The Legend HZ, Synapse).

Completely new project, 1 track, 1 midi clip over 4 bars with 3 notes. When I try to freeze this track, the same thing happens as described above with Pianoverse.

I definitely did not have this problem with the previous version (12.1.05, I think).
